Interesting story

One of the strengths of this game is take on pokemon. Your character has been captured while doing some quests and you must interact with your captor through the multiple choice system.

Your interaction with it gender neutral adversary can lead to many consequences, and as with some real-life hostage situations, there is Stockholm Syndrome involved. This means that romance with the kidnapper is a possible strategy. There are no explicit scenes, but there is a flirtatious language.

Basic mechanics

SNAGGEMON – dating sim does not offer a wide variety of game elements. The only interactions are based on a multiple choice menu. Even though this interactivity puts it a little higher Youtube experiencethe dialogues are voiced and it all comes down to the plot.

The only custom feature is the ability to name the main character, allowing you to add personality to the story.

If the name doesn’t give it away, SNAGGEMON – Grunt Dating Simulator it’s a fun take on the Pokemon franchise. He knows it’s a parody and he also knows it’s his biggest strength. Everything has a comedic edge, whether it’s Professor Magenta or the Pokémon-like creatures.

It’s time well spent for Pokémon fans who want to have a little chuckle at a well-crafted title that parodies the original series but also shows respect for it. The pace can feel a little off at times, but overall this is a great game if you’re a fan of anime style visual novels.
