The Dynamos Cricket app has been released, allowing children to stay active at home and increase their hitting, bowling and ground skills during blocking.
The downtime has had a positive effect on families' sports habits, says the ECB, as it launches its new Dynamos Cricket app to help kids stay active at home.
The ECB survey found that 53% of parents of children aged 8 to 15 spend more time doing physical activities with their children than before closing time.
In addition, 61 percent say they plan to continue exercising as a family after the restrictions are lifted and that sport contributes to their family's physical and mental well-being.
Dynamos Cricket is the new ECB initiative for children aged 8 to 11.
Technology plays an important role in keeping children active during locking, with 85% of parents surveyed saying their child has increased their use of digital platforms to facilitate physical activity.
The free Dynamos Cricket app, for kids ages eight and up, lets kids learn new hitting, bowling and ground techniques that they can do at home without the need lots of space or equipment, while there are also interactive games and tests to keep families active and entertaining.
The app, which you can download for free at iOS and Android: this is part of the extensive Dynamos Cricket program that was launched earlier this year for children ages 8 to 11. The eight-week program is aimed at beginners or graduates of All Stars Cricket.

Ian Bell, former hitter from Warwickshire and England, used the app with his children and said: "We have tried to be as active as possible with our children during this time.
"It was a challenge, but spending quality time with them was one of the real positive points. The Dynamos app is a great way to stay active as a family and we had a lot of fun use it. "

Nick Pryde, Director of Participation and Growth at the ECB, said: "The sport clearly provides families with much-needed relief during the closure. As the restrictions begin to loosen, we hope the application will help children have fun while they learn some cricket techniques.
"We continue to follow government advice and do everything we can to find a way to manage the Dynamos Cricket program as soon as it is safe to do so."
