Airtel doubles the benefits of data in Rs. 98 Prepaid plan, increases talk time on certain recharging plans

Airtel has doubled the benefits of data in its Rs. 98 prepaid recharge plan. The package now includes 12 GB of high-speed data for customers, valid for 28 days. Previously, the telecommunications service provider offered 6 GB of high-speed data as part of the plan. This plan only comes with data benefits and does not offer SMS or calling benefits. The telecommunications operator also offers users more talk time with recharge vouchers of Rs. 500, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 5,000.

New move by Airtel to double the benefits of rupee data. The prepaid 98 plan seems to be aimed at Jio which has its own Rs. 101 data bonus offering 12 GB of 4G data as well as 1000 minutes of Jio calls to non-Jio calls. However, the Jio coupon is not valid in itself and continues until the validity of the existing basic plan. In comparison, Airtel’s prepaid plan is valid for 28 days. Airtel has made no changes to its R. 48 prepaid plan which continues to offer 3 GB of data with 28 days of validity.

Jio also has an Rs. 151 “work at home” package which gives you 30 GB of 4G data with 30 days of validity. Vodafone has an Rs. 98 prepaid plan with 6 GB of data and 28 days of validity. It remains to be seen whether Vodafone will update its offer.

In addition, Airtel now offers additional talk time on its Rs. 500, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 5000 recharge vouchers. The company that offered Rs 423.73 talk time on recharging of Rs. 500 now provides talk time of Rs. 480. The time taken while recharging has increased from Rs. 1000 to more Rs. 110. While I provided Rs. 847.46 talk time on recharge, now offers Rs. 960. If you recharge with Rs. 5000, you will get a talk time of Rs. 4.800, instead of the previous Rs. 4.237.
