Bigblue wants to automate e-commerce compliance in Europe – Heaven32

Meet Big Blue, a French startup that has just raised a first round of funding of 3.6 million dollars (3 million euros) to build an end-to-end compliance solution in Europe. If you sell products on your own website and in various marketplaces, you can use Bigblue to manage everything that happens after a trade.

Bigblue is not trying to reinvent the wheel. Instead, you partner with existing logistics companies, so you only have to manage a relationship with Bigblue. This means that Bigblue works with several logistics centers to store its products, as well as with several carriers.

Basically, Bigblue allows you to improve your customer experience. When you start using Bigblue, you ship your products to a fulfillment center and integrate Bigblue with your online stores. The startup has integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Wix Store, Prestashop, Fastmag, and Amazon Marketplace.

When a customer orders a product from you, it is packaged and shipped directly from the fulfillment center to your customers. Bigblue customers pay a flat rate per order and have nothing to do. Some packages can be sent via DHL, others via Chronopost, etc. It is completely transparent because Bigblue chooses the right medium for you.

Uploading also gives you more visibility into your shipping process. Retailers have an overview of their operations and can view inventory from the Bigblue interface. Customers receive branded delivery emails.

While it is difficult to build a good logistics network if you are a small e-commerce business, Bigblue allows you to compete more directly with large e-commerce websites from Amazon. You can improve the customer experience without setting up an internal logistics team.

Samaipata is now leading the funding round. Bpifrance contributes to the round. Plug and Play, Clément Benoit, Thibaud Elzière and Olivier Bonnet are also investing.

With the new influx of funding, the startup plans to hire 50 people and improve its product. You can expect more integrations with ecommerce platforms, ERP, and marketplaces. Bigblue will also create its own shipment tracking pages and an email customization toolkit. The company will also improve product returns and delivery times.
