Samsung Galaxy S20 FE gets new update with ‘improvements’ to touchscreen issue

It comes after several users took to forums to complain that their phones register ghost keys and experience a lot of stuttering when scrolling or zooming. Samsung has responded to these complaints with this new update that “ improves ” the stability of the touchscreen, but some users say it may be a hardware issue, not a software issue.

responded to a Reddit thread that has dozens of complaints about the same Samsung Galaxy S20 FE touchscreen issue. This user shared a screenshot of receiving an update that “improves this issue”. Nerve displacement still occurs, but less frequently. It still fails the touchscreen test, but stuttering when zooming has been fixed to some extent (still happening, but smoother and better).

The version number of this latest Samsung Galaxy S20 FE update is G781BXXU1ATK1, based on the screenshot shared by the user. The changelog vaguely says that “the stability of the touchscreen has been improved.” It includes the November 2020 security patch and is said to be 202.34 MB in size.

Users From Reddit that this is not the first update that attempts to resolve this issue. Before that, two updates were rolled out which attempted to fix the issue, but the company was unsuccessful.
