Today’s Ghost of Tsushima teaser, unveiled at the last PlayStation State of Play, confirmed that you can "use fear as a weapon" in the next samurai simulator Sucker Punch.
The information is contained in the official Ghost of Tsushima game trailer, which you can watch below. It features around 18 minutes of brand-new gameplay, and in addition to showcasing the fighting styles of Ghost of Tsushima, it also specifically shows us how we can use fear as a weapon when samurai tactics fail. In addition to the more conventional samurai fighting style, you can make it a point to act more like Ghost. As a ghost, you use fear as a weapon, deliberately manipulating sound to deter or confuse enemies, in which case you can use stealth to murder them. You can also use smoke bombs and what appear to be fireworks to obstruct their vision when they catch you, at that point you can make a quick and decisive move and kill them, dishonorable.
After being seen, it is advisable to eliminate enemies with your kunai, allowing quick and short-range killings. Kill enough enemies and the remaining Mongols will flee in fear, probably horrified by your hateful and dishonorable actions. Once you are a samurai, you now have all the means necessary to complete your mission.
To add insult to injury, the Phantom section in the gameplay trailer ends with a shipyard fire, ensuring that the base of operations for the Mongol invaders is completely uninhabitable.
In other Ghost of Tsushima news, the exploration in Ghost of Tsushima was apparently designed specifically to "let the island guide you". What's more, and that's important: foxes are your friends in Ghost of Tsushima.
Although Ghost of Tsushima was originally scheduled to launch on Jube, it was delayed due to COVID-19. It will now launch on PS4 on July 17.
