Sony sold 110.4 million Playstation 4 consoles over its lifetime and has 41.5 million PS Plus subscribers.

The figures come from Sony's annual financial results, in which it admitted that sales of PS4 equipment and sales had declined due to the slower shelf life of the consoles.

Its next home console, the PlayStation 5, is about to launch this holiday in 2020, and Sony said there were no significant delays for the production of proprietary studio games or their partners. .

Sony's gaming division was a highlight for the entire business as its electronics, music and imaging divisions were affected due to the current coronavirus crisis.

51% of Sony's net sales of games come from digital sales of games and add-ons, compared to 6% of sales of packaged games. Sales of PS4 hardware represented 19% of sales for the whole year, PS Plus and PS Now 17% and peripherals 7%.

Although the PS4 is in decline, it will still have two massive game releases in the coming months. The Last of Us Part 2 expires on June 19, followed by a new Sucker Punch Ghost of Tsushima IP on July 17.
