Boss Guide to the Dark Side of the Moon: Rabbit Crest Tower

When you arrive on the dark side of the moon, head from the Odyssey to the Rabbit Ridge tower using the spark pylons. The four bosses of Broodal await you inside the tower with which you will have to fight successively, which will lead to a final fight against RoboBrood. This is a difficult question, but luckily there is a useful trick to gaining an advantage over these bad teeth. Before getting on the last spark pylon leading to the tower, stop and throw your hat at the tip to the right shown in the screenshot below, and hold it there until ; that a living heart appears. Super Mario Odyssey Guide to the Dark Side of the Moon and the Rabbit Ridge Tower 3 Grabbing this Life-Up means you have six lives to defeat all of the Broodals, instead of three. Additionally, after defeating each Broodal, you can exit the tower again and return to the upper spike, repeat the process, and score another Vida heart to keep Mario at the top of six lives.

When you return to the tower, you can move to the next Broodal without having to fight those you have already defeated, and you can continue to repeat this process as many times as you like until you have them all defeated.

Rabbit Ridge Tower: first floor

Your first opponent is Topper, whom you would have already met in Cap Kingdom and Bowser's Kingdom. The battle will take place in the same way as the first time, the main difference being the low gravity of the moon, so be careful when synchronizing your jumps so as not to accidentally fall into one of the many Topper hats.

To eliminate Topper, launch Cappy repeatedly until he is stunned, then jump over him and hit his head. Next, Topper will split into a bunch of hats that spin around the arena, so you'll have to either jump on it or throw Cappy at them to deflect and destroy them. In their second phase, their hats will meet in a tall tower above their heads. Pay attention to a pink circle appearing around you – this is a sign that the multiple hats on your head are about to form a large pillar which will crash towards you and turn in a circle, then be ready to jump or to the side. Otherwise, keep throwing Cappy out of his hats, before hitting him on the head again when there are no more hats. When you split up again into a lot of swivel hats, go over to the edge of the arena and simply turn the top hats towards you by throwing Cappy at them.

For its final phase, Topper will assemble an even higher tower of hats high on its head. The pink circle will have a much larger radius, so as soon as you see it, it turns at an acute angle and jumps out of the area to avoid the slam topper and the spin attack. When you get back on the sand, keep hitting the best hats and tossing them Cappy, but be ready to walk away when the pink circle appears. Watch out for the top hats that he knocks over, as they will continue to bounce around in the arena, and keep attacking Topper until all of his hats are removed and he can hit him one last time.

Rabbit Ridge Tower: second floor

Super Mario Odyssey Guide to the Dark Side of the Moon and the Rabbit Ridge Tower 5Next, Harriet, whom you have already met in Sand Kingdom and Bowser's Kingdom. Harriet will throw pairs of spiked bombs at you, so as soon as she drops them, run so they don't hit you and throw Cappy on the bombs to drop them in the Harriet pool style. You may miss a few times, but you know you have scored a direct hit when Harriet falls to the ground and grabs her by the head. At this point, he quickly throws Cappy at him to stun him, then jumps on him and hits him on the head. Harriet will jump into her helmet and float around the arena like a flying saucer, throwing bombs. She will only drop bombs on the edge of the arena, so wait in the middle and you will be out of danger.

After dropping your third row of bombs, spread quickly when you return to the middle. The rest of the fight takes place in the same way, only with the addition of hot craters on the ground that you should avoid. Once you've jumped on it three times in total, the fight will be over and you can go up to the third floor.

Rabbit Ridge Tower: third floor

Super Mario Odyssey Guide to the Dark Side of the Moon and Rabbit Ridge Tower 6Unfortunately, the next boss is called Spewart, and this will be his fourth meeting with him after meeting him in the Woodland Kingdom, the Lunch Kingdom and the Bowser Kingdom. This villain vomit is arguably the easiest Broodal you'll come across in the rabbit crest tower sequence.

Just stand at the edge of the arena as he spits out his circles of purple poison, then launches Cappy to open a path for him and rushes over to make a pound of dirt on his head. When he retires in his hat, return to the edge of the arena and throw Cappy at him every time he walks towards you until he emerges from his hat and continues to spit out a deadly fool. Then simply repeat the above strategy to clear a path so that you can attack it, but keep in mind that there will be an increasing amount of dangerous risks. Once you've jumped there three times, you can go up to the fourth floor.

Rabbit Ridge Tower: fourth floor

Super Mario Odyssey Guide to the Dark Side of the Moon and Rabbit Ridge Tower 7The last of the Broodal brood is Rango, whom you have already approached in the kingdom of the lake, the kingdom of snow and the kingdom of Bowser. This grain of rabbit will directly throw its saw blade cap at you, but you can easily deflect it by launching Cappy at it. This will flip your hat over to reveal a spinning flower. Run towards the flower and it will launch Mario into the air, and with the help of the low gravity of the moon, you can drive Mario over the top of the beach (using Mario's shadow as guide), before holding ZR or ZL to quickly dig deep into your head.

He runs quickly to the edge of the arena as Rango jumps into his hat. When the hat wobbles towards you, it jumps up into the air and hits the ground. Mario will recover in the air and Rango will take off his hat, as soon as he does, you must carry another pound of soil while his head is exposed. Get away from him immediately and repeat the process to complete him. Now head to the top of the tower.

You will now meet the Bowser Kingdom RoboBroodal, only this fight will be slightly different. At the start of the fight, quickly switch to one of the Hammer Bros. and capture it with your Cappy. Then continue to throw hammers on one of the legs of the RoboBroodal while avoiding the bombs it drops.

As soon as you knock down the armor on one of the legs, move quickly so that the RoboBroodal does not crush you when it falls to the ground. Use the legs of the RoboBroodal as a ladder to jump over his body and hit the dome to remove one of the Broodals. As soon as you land, capture another Hammer Bro and quickly attack RoboBroodal's legs again before its attack can begin.

When the armor breaks and falls, it jumps and strikes the exposed Broodal. In the third phase, stay like Mario and perform long jumps to avoid RoboBroodal charge attacks. After avoiding the second attack, capture another Hammer Bro and return to the center of the arena to hit the legs of the RoboBroodal with hammers. Watch out for the rotating fireworks dropped by the RoboBroodal, and it continues to attack the legs. Back up once the leg armor comes off and instead of collapsing, the RoboBroodal moves to the squat position. Use one of its legs to jump on it and hit the third Broodal.

The fourth and final phase is quite similar to the third, just capture a Hammer Bro, avoid the rotating fireworks and continue attacking the legs of the RoboBroodal as quickly as possible. Once the leg armor is removed, the RoboBroodal will fall forward onto a front plate, and may jump onto its legs and strike the final Broodal. With the RoboBroodal carefully, Mario will win a royal crown and a royal costume, then you can hunt down the rest of the Power Moons hidden in this kingdom!
