The developer of Megabyte Punch "Left In The Dark" after the release of the Nintendo Switch Game eShop

Developer Megabyte Punch

We've heard of games that have been mysteriously removed from the eShop Switch in the past, and the last one that seems to have been lost in some areas for no reason is that of Team Reptile. Megabyte Punch.

In an email, the small study from the Netherlands (and previously responsible for Lethal League Blaze on the Switch) explained how he released his "electro-beat & m-up game" on Nintendo Switch on Friday, May 8. The game was already breaking even for the developer until the community noticed that users in Europe and Australia were unable to purchase the Switch eShop title.

We do not know why this happened and we have not been told by Nintendo about it. We have communicated but have not yet received a response. At the time of writing, the game was not available for purchase for at least 12 hours in Europe and Australia.

One theory is that it could be a technical problem with the eShop, and another is that it was deleted due to an error. The developer continues to admit that there were errors in the title, but says it is no different from any other new version. A patch is also being processed:

Nintendo has tested the game to make sure it meets its quality standards. In addition to that, a fix is already being processed that has fixed several bugs found in the game. But that would not explain that the game is not available only in certain regions.

Team Reptile says it has been "completely left in the dark" and wishes to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

As it is the weekend right now, we may not see this issue being resolved soon, but if there are any updates, we will be sure to let you know. It should also be noted that the game is always available

in North America.

Have you noticed that Megabyte Punch has disappeared in certain regions? Any idea why? Share your thoughts below.
