Ubisoft sues Apple and Google for the Rainbow Six scam

Ubisoft has filed a lawsuit against Apple and Google based on their support for an alleged "Rainbow Six" scam.

In a recent report published by Bloomberg, the details have been deepened on Ubisoft's decision to sue Internet titans Apple and Google.

Area F2, a game developed by a subsidiary of Alibaba, was called Rainbow Six: Siege "almost carbon copy" in a Los Angeles courtroom yesterday, Friday, May 15.

"Rainbow Six: Siege is one of the most popular multiplayer competitive games in the world and one of Ubisoft's most valuable intellectual properties," said Ubisoft, according to the Bloomberg report. "Virtually all aspects of the F2 area are copied from Rainbow Six: Siege, from the operator selection screen to the final score screen, and everything in between."

"Ubisoft’s competitors are constantly looking for ways to take advantage of the popularity of Rainbow Six: Siege and capture the attention and money of Rainbow Six players," he said. he adds.

Bloomberg has confirmed that despite notification of the copyright infringement, Apple and Google have refused to remove Area F2 from their respective app stores.
