Age of Empires 3: The WarChiefs from Ensemble Studios is an expansion of the basic design of the classic AoE series. This is a paid real-time strategy game that focuses on the colonization of America. With this add-on, you can now play as Native Americans or start a colonial revolution to throw off the chains of empires.

System requirements

The extension runs smoothly and has no crash issues. Any system after Microsoft Windows XP can handle the game, even Windows 10. The computer only needs 2GB of RAM to run properly.

Gameplay

When you start, you will be able to choose from many nations. Each of them has its own unique advantages and playstyles that give the game a lot of replayability. The player must build his base and army to fight against other players, artificial or real.

There is also a campaign that throws you into different situations to challenge you. It gets harder with unlocking new units as you progress.

New Features

This add-on is a new campaign in which you can play in America and participate in conflicts between the colonizers and the colonized. In addition, colonies are now allowed to rebel against their overlords.

Stealth is a new addition. New units have been added that are not automatically visible, allowing you to sneak into enemy territory. This is different from the previous automatic detection.

Alternatives

Age of Empires 2 is the predecessor to this game and is quite different. The main difference is in the difficulty: the earlier version is much more difficult to play. Also, AoE 3 has significantly faster game times.

Civilization V is widely regarded as the best of Sid Meier’s games. While the series is different, if you like a wider selection of civilizations and longer play times but less focus on everyday interactions, Civ 5 is the right game for you.

Although Age of Empires has been around for a long time, it is well outdated and remains relevant in the gaming community. Players who enjoy real time strategy and civilization building will want to try this game. There are no cons in the game.
