Open source web browser
1/3
Chromium is an open source version of the popular Google Chrome. It features a development build that they use to keep updating the latest versions of the web. Although it is different, it remains similar to regular Chrome.
User interface
Chromium is very similar to Chrome as they are based on Chromium OS. It has a multifunctional tab with settings and bookmarks. There is no scrolling mechanism when you have too many tabs open, making it difficult to switch between them when you have many tabs open.
Functions
The main feature of Chromium is the ability to sync all your Google account information with it. The software is ideal for people who develop websites or want to develop extensions as they can make the most of the development experience.

It also comes with the ability to use a wide range of extensions to make life easier for the user. Google Translate is preloaded in the browser. It is safe and does not contain viruses.
Problems
The main problem with it is the lack of updates. You will need to make sure your version stays up to date. Finding these updates can be a challenge because there are tons of versions on the internet.
Although the browser is one of the fastest, it consumes a lot of RAM. This problem is exacerbated if you keep many tabs open.
Alternatives
Google Chrome is the first competitor as it is almost identical. If you don’t need an open source program, there is no reason to use Chromium over Chrome as it is inferior to the official release in most aspects.
Firefox is another great option. It’s not as easy to use, but it’s much more about your security. If you’re worried about your data being stolen or need a program that consumes less RAM, Mozilla Firefox is for you.
Not necessary
Overall, Chromium doesn’t add any value beyond what Chrome already has, which makes it worse. It just comes with a lot of complications that won’t give you any added benefits in personal use. In conclusion, it is identical to the Google browser, but with an experimental build component. It is not required to have.
