Adblock is a powerful ad blocking extension for Google Chrome that helps you block ads that interfere with your browsing experience. Inspired by Adblock Plus for Firefox, it includes many of the same ad blocking tools. This extension is incredibly powerful and blocks almost everything, including pre-video ads on YouTube. When it blocks ads, you will notice the Adblock logo glowing red on the Chrome taskbar.

Adblock allows you to add or remove sites from the filter lists in the add-ons panel. It’s important to filter sites where you actually want pop-ups, such as Grooveshark, to ensure apps work properly while Adblock is active. Although Adblock may make your pages look a little empty, it is certainly effective at blocking ads.
