There’s no easier way to highlight something on your desktop than by drawing directly on the screen, whether for personal use, presentations or recording tutorials.

Ink2Go Suitable for all these jobs and very easy to use. It allows you to draw and write on the screen using a variety of tools, as well as record the entire desktop or a portion of it.

The app’s user interface consists of a fairly basic toolbar that can be pinned to the edge of the screen or moved anywhere as needed. It contains all the tools you’ll use for drawing and recording, and can be minimized to avoid cluttering your desktop.

While it’s easy to use and doesn’t take up much space, the toolbar’s design and icons don’t quite blend in with the interface of the latest version of macOS.

Once the application is launched, you can select any drawing tool to get started. You get a pen, a marker, a shape creator, text insertion tools, and an eraser. You can select the cursor at any time to interact with Finder or other applications.

Each tool has multiple customization options, but there seems to be no way to modify them after the item is drawn. For example, if you might want to change the color of a shape or the position of some text, you can’t do that.

This special feature is great for creating tutorials or recording presentations. It allows you to select the area of ​​the screen you want to capture and can even include a webcam view that you can move around freely.

Ink2Go works well as a general annotation and screen recording tool, although it could use more drawing capabilities and an updated user interface.
