Paintbrush is a lightweight and user-oriented Mac OS X application inspired by the Microsoft Paint program and can replace the discontinued Apple MacPaint.

The brush comes with a user-oriented interface and a small package of painting tools that can be used to quickly draw, sketch or draw images on a white canvas or existing pictures.

In the main window of Paintbrush, you can easily open and save it as a BMP, GIF, JPEG TIFF or PNG file.

With Paintbrush, you can use a file format that supports alpha channel, so you can add transparency to the picture or use transparency items.

Most importantly, you can copy and paste images from most Mac applications, including other image editors, text processors, and other similar applications.

Use basic painting tools to draw unique images

The “Tools” panel gives you quick and easy access to all available tools, and enables you to adjust the size and color of the currently selected brush, drawing, or painting tool. Therefore, you can adjust the size of the brush, eraser or spray gun, and the degree of coarsening of lines and curves.

In addition, the “Rectangle”, “Ellipse” and “Rounded Rectangle” tools have customizable thickness, strokes and fill colors, while the “Text” tool allows you to change the font, color and size with just a few mouse clicks .

Save your work in the desired file format

The brush also has a “pipette and zoom” utility that can be used to zoom in or out and focus on various parts of the image. In the Preferences window of the Paintbrush, you can determine the default file format for saved work and limit the number of undos that can be performed.
