RSS Guard is an open source, cross-platform, multi-protocol desktop feed reader. It is capable of fetching feeds in RSS/RDF/ATOM/JSON formats. RSS Guard is developed on top of the Qt library.

RSS Guard is a cross-platform application and at this time it is known to work with:

• GNU/Linux (including PinePhone and other Linux-based phone operating systems)
• BSD (FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, etc.)

What is new

Added:

• Show the total number of underlying feeds/categories in the account’s tooltip in the feed list. (#881)
• Press “CTRL+F” when the article script text box is highlighted in the “Article Filters” dialog to allow text searching. (#889)
• The filtering option in the article list toolbar is now included with a checkbox like appearance. You can now select several filtering conditions, and if the article meets at least one of them, it will be displayed. (#468)
• WebEngine disk cache can now be disabled in the settings. If it is “disabled”, RSS Guard will use memory-based cache which is automatically destroyed when RSS Guard exits. (#725)
• Help spoilers can now display HTML help with clickable hyperlinks.
• Skins are now able to load custom TTF and OTF fonts, and skins can now specify application-wide fonts. You can see examples of using this function in test skins.

Fixed:

• Fixed crash when importing OPML files.
• Fixed hidden bug that could cause labels DE-assigned from filters to not be synced back to the feed service if supported.
