Ajay Sawhney, president of Empowered Group-9, said on Monday that the Aarogya Setu app has been downloaded to smartphones for 9.8 million rupees so far.
"It will be available on Jio compatible phones, possibly from tomorrow. We have worked a lot on the privacy of user data from Aarogya Setu and have made sure that user data is not compromised," said Sawhne. at a press conference in New Delhi.
He also reported that about 1.4 lakh of Aarogya Setu app users were alerted via Bluetooth contact tracking of the possible risk of infection due to proximity to patients infected.
"This will allow him to protect himself and his family," he added.

With an increase of 4,213 cases in the past 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 in India reached 67,152 on Monday, according to the Union's Ministry of Health and Welfare.

In an exclusive interaction with ANI, Kant said that the Aarogya Setu mobile app was created to guarantee the confidentiality and security of personal information collected from people. It is based on the principle of "confidentiality first by design".
