Oppo Find X2 series to be launched in India soon, teases company

The Oppo Find X2 may soon arrive in India, according to Oppo teasers. We have had some iconic large motorboats in India in the past few months. It was first the OnePlus 8 series, followed by the Xiaomi Mi 10, and now the Find X2 series. The company posted a teaser on Twitter saying it will be "coming soon" and also has a teaser page on Amazon India. The Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro were announced in early March this year, which are iconic models powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and feature 120 Hz displays and fast charging 65 W SuperVOOC 2.0. We still don't know if Oppo will launch the two models in India or simply the Find X2 Pro.

We've heard rumors since March that the Find X2 series will hit India in the second wave of Oppo releases. Now peep from the official Oppo India Twitter account confirms this. The tweet mentions the Find X2 series, "so we can witness the launch of both phones. Oppo also has a overview of the page on Amazon India for Find X2, which talks about some of its main features. Here he mentions that the amount of RAM and storage is 12 GB and 512 GB respectively, suggesting that this is the Find X2 Pro.

We hope that Oppo can do something about the prices, given what it costs in other countries. The Find X2 Pro is priced at 1199 EUR (around Rs.100,100) for the 12 GB + 512 GB variant, while the Find X2 12 GB + 256 GB variant costs 999 EUR (around Rs. 83,400).

This places it well above the Xiaomi Mi 10 5G, which has just been launched in India at the starting price of Rs. 49,999. Oppo could potentially lower the price a bit by launching variants with less RAM and storage for both models. If the price of India approaches its international price, the Oppo Find X2 series will compete with high-end flagship products such as the iPhone 11 Pro series and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. It will be interesting to see how it compares to these heavyweights.

I guess the biggest question is this: would buyers be willing to pay around a lakh rupee on an Oppo phone?
