This year's EVO tournament will take place online for five weekends.

EVO organizers have unveiled the new online version of this long-standing event. EVO Online is a five weekend tournament with its own list of games as well as many games from the original range.

The biggest notable exception is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which was probably removed due to its bad network code. Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, Soulcalibur 6, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Samurai Shodown, Under Night In-Birth and Granblue Fantasy Versus remain.

EVO Online also organizes open tournaments for four other games that have not been successful. These are Mortal Kombat 11, Killer Instinct, Them’s Fightin ’Herds and Skullgirls: Second Encore.

The following details on how to register. For now, here is the preliminary schedule:

  • 4-5 July.
  • July 11-12.
  • July 18-19.
  • July 25-26.
  • July 31 to August 2.
