Fallout 76 update roadmap revealed: includes seasons, Brotherhood of Steel quests, and more

The Fallout 76 roadmap update outlines plans for Seasons, a new arc in the history of Brotherhood of Steel, and more.

The seasons, which are the first on the upgrade roadmap, are a new feature designed to replace the current Challenge system. They will be available to all players and are configured to implement a new progression system to unlock a variety of items, including power armor paints, atoms and benefit packs.

Seasons will also introduce a new coin, while the Challenge system will reward players with standard atoms, Seasons will offer S.C.O.R.E. points, which can be used to advance seasonal progression.

According to an official press release, here is a general structure for Fallout 76 Seasons:

  • Players will see a new option in the main menu that will take them to a seasonal progress screen with a unique Fallout theme. During season 1, it will be a board game on the theme of Captain Cosmos.
  • All players start at the first space on the board: Rank 1 out of 100. Moving around on the board involves acquiring a new type of coin, SCORE, which can be obtained through the revamped challenge system and other activities at stake.
  • The challenges will be less complicated and easier to complete, usually involving activities that players would complete by playing Fallout 76 as they normally would.
  • Rewards are awarded to each rank, with larger rewards as you advance and at specific stages (rank 25, 50, 76, etc.).
  • The players you have the option to spend 150 atoms to jump ranks later The first two weeks of a season. After two weeks, players can advance through the ranks by spending atoms to allow season laggards to catch up.
  • The seasons will last 10 weeks with a two-week break between the end of one season and the start of the next.
